Discover Home Inspection’s ownership has been in the home remodeling end of the business for over thirty years. It was a natural transition to use this experience and apply it to Home Inspections. We know exactly what is involved and how costly repairing the conditions we discover during our inspections can be. We understand the importance of KNOWING exactly the condition of every aspect of your home. Knowledge is Power!

We are based out of Pottstown, Pa and service our clients primarily in Chester, Montgomery, Berks and Delaware Counties. But if you are outside our normal territory give us a call and if we can’t personally help you, we are associated with many other Professional Home Inspectors we could recommend with confidence.

All of our home Inspectors have been through an extensive training program sponsored by AHIT. American Home Inspectors Training is the largest and most respected trainer and certifier of Home Inspectors in North America. They have been the leaders in Home Inspection training since 1993.

But we don’t stop there. All Inspectors are also members of ASHI. The American Society of Home Inspectors is the most respected professional association for home inspectors in North America. ASHI's Standards of Practice — covering all of a home's major systems — are now part of many pieces of state legislation and are recognized by consumers as the authoritative standard for professional home inspection.

Code of Ethics

Honesty, loyalty, and courtesy form a moral philosophy which, associated with mutual interest among people, constitutes the foundation of our code of ethics. All of our inspectors shall make every effort to uphold, maintain, and improve the professional integrity, reputation, and practice of the home inspection profession. With each inspection we work for one client and we will always act in good faith toward each client. Discover Home Inspections will not disclose to anyone any information concerning the results of the inspection without the approval of the client. We will not accept nor offer commissions or allowances, directly or indirectly, from other parties dealing with their client in connection with work for which we are responsible.

Standard of Practice

The Standards of Practice are a set of guidelines for home inspectors to follow in the performance of their inspections. They are the most widely accepted home inspection guidelines in use, and include all the home's major systems and components. The Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics are recognized by many related professions as the definitive standard for professional performance in the industry.
